It has been a tough day for me
In the morning I met a man
He was covered in shit
And was washing the drain
I was in shock
How bad is life?
Like hitting your head on a rock
You will bleed until you die
Living happily is a lie
Then I moved
The lie got proved
With a child on one shoulder
And a bag of vegetables on the other
The woman was walking swiftly
To sell the vegetables and earn
Her face smiled
And I got lost
I went to a temple
To find peace
But in my mind
There was war
I had everything
Even the time to look into other lives
But my day was still tough
I realized soon
That woman\’s smile
And that drain man\’s patience
Killed me
Why were they happy?
They were not supposed to be?
I thought about them for a while
Then I started looking into the sky
And I was drowning
Into the depths
Flying with the stars
The day was tough
But the night was not.
I liked that question “They were not supposed to be?”…yeah we assume they are not supposed to be happy… but in reality they may not be even having time to check their happiness or they are least bothered on the same..
sometimes somewhere somehow some realizations happen during our journey ..hope you are having not as tough days now…
Hey akhila. Long time. But you are right. It happens sometime when we like their lives better than ours. And yeah. Not so tough days for me. But not so easy also
Recently I too had a similar revelation.. though not in the exactly same lines…that’s why could connect to that very easily…and now I try to make myself believe that everything will pass on, nothing will hold on forever
Yeah. We tend to do that. But as writers sometimes we overthink things and situations which is not good. But good to know that we agree on this.
Hmm.. overthinking is in fact a problem..but still I love to do that as long as no one is harmed
Me too. ,)
“The day was tough
But the night was not.”
Words of hope!
